The Experience

Title for this Section

Participants representing for-profit, non-profit, and public sector projects participate in a high-impact cohort experience that spans six months and includes 14 total days of in-person learning delivered as retreat-style experiences over long weekends, and 15 hours of targeted virtual personal and project coaching and mentoring. An additional 140 team members from the 35 projects benefit from resources and tools available through a proprietary online platform.

An Integral Content Approach

The Bridges to New Horizons journey introduces key frameworks across four content areas and allows team leaders to deepen their capacities as agents for social change and increased cohesion.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

During workshops, participants are guided through the PMBOK process of designing and planning a high-impact peace project. In between each workshop, Project Management Institute (PMI) – certified coaches virtually support participants and their teams of 5-6 others in implementing peace projects.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

In workshops, participants build skills in mindfulness, regulation, creativity, and courageous conversations using Spiral Dynamics and ValueMatch Assessments as key tools. Through six one-on-one virtual coaching sessions in between workshops, ICF-Lebanon certified coaches support personal and team growth.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION

Participants explore social capital, trust, and social cohesion; examine power dynamics in relation to violence and peace; define types of violence; practice compassionate presence; and apply the Eight Pillars of Peace framework to community issues.

TRAUMA HEALING

Through dialogue and mind-body practices during workshops, participants become trauma-informed, sensitive, and responsive – able to manage personal experiences and address community impacts.
