Project In Jezzine, young people face limited training opportunities, unemployment, and pressure to migrate. The Jezzine Educational Hub provides digital, technical, entrepreneurial, and soft-skills training, mentorship, and links to employment, internships, and freelance opportunities.

We identified limited access to relevant skills, weak employer links, and uncertainty as key challenges. Our approach combines youth engagement, needs assessment, practical training, and partnerships. The project has moved into implementation, with workshops already delivered to local youth.

The 12-month pilot includes workshops, partnerships, mentors, training materials, and a digital platform. Later phases will expand training, employment links, evaluation, and long-term sustainability.

The Municipality is supporting the initiative and has offered a potential space for the Hub. We continue seeking funding, trainers, mentors, equipment, volunteers, and partnerships.

Partners Engagement has started with the municipality and local youth. We aim to partner with schools, universities, organizations, companies, educators, and donors for training, mentorship, funding, and employment opportunities.

The Hub will be promoted through schools, partners, social media, workshops, community meetings, and local events, with participants and alumni acting as ambassadors.

Targets include 50–80 participants, 80% completion, 30–40% accessing work opportunities, and 5–10 partnerships, alongside improvements in confidence, employability, and inclusion.

Through the Bridges to New Horizons – Lebanon experience, I learned to turn ideas into action through leadership and project management. Peacebuilding creates opportunities for young people to collaborate, develop skills, and build hope for their future. Trauma-informed leadership emphasizes empathy and psychological safety, helping youth strengthen their agency and sense of belonging.
